Pegasus, is a winged equine, who appeared only in episode 12, Bellerophon and Pegasus, where he was also a titular character.

Greek Mythology[]

After Perseus decapitated Medusa, out sprout Pegasus and Chrysoar, her two children by Poseidon.

Later on, Bellerophon caught the Pegasus near the fountain of Pierene, with the help of Athena and Poseidon, Pegasus allowed Bellerophon to ride him to defeat the monstrous Chimera, which lead onto other exploits. When Bellerophon rode to Mount Olympus on the winged horse's back, he fell off and Pegasus was transformed into a Constellation by Zeus.

Synopsis[]

Episode 12/Bellerophon and Pegasus[]

Pegasus seemed to live with Athena in Olympus, after Bellerophon prayed to Athena for help in defeating the Chimera, the goddess trained Bellerophon and handed him the Pegasus, to help him complete the mission. Bellerophon rode on Pegasus' back allowing him to attack the Chimera from higher up, after slaying the beast, Pegasus lives with Bellerophon in Lycia alongside Philonoe.

Personality and Appearance[]

He is shown to be a proud, loyal, friendly, obedient and powerful steed, serious in the face of battle.

He is a white horse, with blue eyes, and a long green mane, he wears a blue accessory on his forehead. He has a golden horn and huge golden wings.

Pegasus' backstory as Medusa's son was changed to be suitable for the young audience of the anime series.
